TEDxLincolnSalon: The Healing of Harman Film Screening | April 11, 2019 | Tickets Available

Join us for TEDxLincolnSalon: The Healing of Harman Film Screening + Discussion

Join TEDxLincoln for a TEDxLincolnSalon featuring a screening of “The Healing of Harman,” a short film directed by an Academy-Award nominated director, produced and written by an UNL alum along with the students from the Johnny Carson school. This film about hope, faith, and forgiveness finds a Kurdish refugee who works in Lincoln, Nebraska, as an interpreter, then meets a mysterious man that asks for help with life and death consequences.

After the 20 minute film screening, we’ll hear from the filmmakers including Consulting Producer, Dr. Helen Fagan of UNL who will moderate a Q&A with local refugees who helped bring this emotional, heart-rending story about the power of forgiveness to light.

Schedule:

7:00 PM: Doors Open
7:30 PM: Welcome and screening of "The Healing of Harman"
8:00 PM: Dr. Fagan discussion
8:30 PM: Event Ends

What is a TEDxLincoln Salon?

Salon events are often small weekly or monthly events that keeps a TEDxLincoln community engaged between regular TEDxLincoln events. It’s a unique kind of gathering that TEDxLincoln organizers hold which allows the conversation to continue, in person.
