Preparing for an Unknown Future

Megan is the Founding Director of the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. She will be speaking on her highly impactful work in the emerging media arts, and what the exponential technological change could mean to our daily lives. She wants us to understand that artificially intelligent robots are already here in our world, and will automate many of our jobs. Megan challenges us to think about how - unless we’re super careful - we could continue to code all of our biases into the new tools that we bring into being, and she discusses why that is not ideal.
